A shoulder angel and a demon are assigned to the same human. The lines of right and wrong begin to blur as the black and white text of the scriptures begin to show shades of grey.
Co - written by Joe Plock

Characters:
DAVE- an angel who’s on his first assignment on “shoulder duty.” He’s excited for the opportunity because his past few jobs didn’t work out so well. He wants to do good for the greater purpose but also as a chance to show the people upstairs what he can do. He does everything “by the book.”

ASH- a devil who has been on “shoulder duty” ever since “The Fall.” He is laid-back, sarcastic, and apathetic about his job. He’s seen every type of person, every choice imaginable, and no longer cares about a greater purpose if he ever did. He looks after himself and finds ways to make himself happy including: drinking, doing as little work as possible and screwing with holier-than-thou angels.

Casting Note: Characters can be cast gender-blind. If Dave is played by a woman, the playwright suggests either using the name “Dave” or switching it to “Jan.”
