Based on the remarkable true events, this play covers the hour after President Lincoln's assassination at Ford's Theater, following the Laura Keene acting troupe who went from performers to witnesses and then to suspects of one of the most shocking crimes the country had ever seen.


Characters:
Laura Keene – female, late 30’s and The owner of the theatre, the manager and producer. In the play she performed the staring role. This weekend was to be her last performance in this role.
J. Matthews – Male. Supporting Character. Enamored with Helen Muzzy.
T.C Gourlay: Late 40’s Male. Very rich and full of himself. Married to an actress in the company.
John Dyott – Male, early 40’s, a leading man. Good friends with Laura Keene
Harry Hawk – Male, late 30’s. He was playing the leading role of Asa Trenchard.
Helen Muzzy – Female Early 20’s. Playing the supporting female role.
Peanut: A young boy, a stage hand
Officer: A Washington D.C. Police Officer
